2014 in Review – So proud of my blog!

I am so proud of how far my photography and blog has come this past year. I know someone is guiding me to put my work out there! Although my stats could probably be a little better, and I could probably post a little more frequently, I am still beyond proud of my work, and so proud of all the different countries where people are viewing my work from. If you want to check out my year in review, the link is below. Thanks everyone for viewing and following! Hoping to post some new reviews and photos soon!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,400 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 23 trips to carry that many people.

Some Thoughts On Love & Other Cliches

The Fickle Heartbeat

Our world is one riddled with clichés. Love is a gift. Love is pain.

They’re clichés because they’re true, of course – but like a well-worn t-shirt, their overuse has wrung them of all colour and depth. People say things like ‘oh well, love is pain isn’t it?’ in place of being honest. Rather than talk about how they’re really feeling, they fall back on well-peddled sayings to do the talking for them.

Recently, I heard someone reach into the gizzards of those clichés and wrench out a beautiful truth: pain is a gift. Four simple words, but the impact of them nearly winded me. When you’re sobbing to the point of illness and clawing at yourself in wretched desperation, it sure doesn’t feel like it. But it is.

Personally, I have always considered myself to be good with pain. At sixteen, a nervously anticipated trip…

Movie Review – Fury

fury_movie-wide

Having recently watched the movie, American Sniper, it reminded me that I really should do a review of Fury. My boyfriend and I both agreed that Fury was a much better film between the 2. The actors were engaging and entertaining. Although it was a war movie, and I am not usually a big fan of war type movies, this one was enjoyable. The subject matter was interesting and captivating. Brad Pitt is solid as per usual. Shia LaBeouf never disappoints. Logan Lerman was definitely suitable in his role as the newbie. Michael Pena is solid in every film I have ever seen him in. Jon Bernthal is also a unique actor that brings a ton of artistic flavor to the movie, he is one of the most interesting actors, especially the character he plays in this movie. Besides the boat load of amazing and talented actors, this film depicts a true sense of honor and pride, strength and courage. I would rate this film a 8.2 out of 10. This blog is just my opinion!
