My Poetry – Destiny

Walking the winding path that binds us, knowing wherever I go, our love can always find us. Surrender yourself only to kindness, stay blind to the mindless. Remember love is timeless. Lose yourself in life, in the sparkles of the skies. Meet me halfway, to the centre of the prize. Dont know when or where it will be, but the day will come, when we meet our destiny. Wait and see. Love and live free. Always be happy.

My Poetry – Vacation

Sun shining, burning my nose.
Hot sand, warm beneath my toes.
Ocean waves, softly rolling.
People laughing, couples strolling.
Fluffy clouds, floating in the sky.
Time casually rolling on by.

My Poetry – Voyage

Sailing the sea

Through an ocean of stars

So very close

Yet so very far

Can’t you feel my heart cry

Dripping from the sky

Blinded by the light

That illuminates my sight

Navigating the right

Finding my way through the night

My Poetry – Materialism

Prettier, skinnier, hotter, cooler,
trendier, funner, smarter, newer.
We must be all these things and more,
they say.
Made to feel inferior,
incomplete in someway.
Why aren’t your nails done!
Or your hair done like this!
Why don’t you have on,
this season’s latest can’t-miss!
Why aren’t you trotting around in heels,
with your toddler in tow?
Just to prove to someone,
comfy and casual you won’t go!
To prove that you have some kind of value,
that someone finds you attractive,
that’s all that matters?
I will love myself for being me,
the person I truly am.
The real me,
not trying to hide and scam.
The same me,
no matter what I wear.
The same me,
no matter the look of my hair.

My Poetry – Betrayal

The silence haunts me now, unsure if I want to hear any sound. My mind blank and worn down, my heart tossed to the ground. The nights get lonely, when there’s no one here to hold me. Nothing is stopping the depression, from getting a hold of me. My soul feels black, like it will never come back. How did I get my life, so utterly off track. How could I love someone, who doesn’t feel the same. So much pain, caused from your silly games. I could ask why and how come, but nothing makes the past undone. I’ll live and learn, and I’ll move on. I’ll always sing, my same beautiful song. You can’t take my heart, or my shine. I may feel down, but I will always be fine.

My Poetry – Missing You

Shuffling through my memory closet,
I search for remnants of you.
Moments long forgotten,
lost and thrown a strew.
I pray for them to stay,
and never go away.
I long to see your face up close,
remember your warming smile.
I hope next time I see you,
You’ll be able to stay a while.

My Poetry – Heartache

Every time I wake,
The clock has lapsed.
My heart hurts,
And my stomach collapsed.
Nudged by the ache,
I close my eyes and cry.
Fall back asleep,
In my dreams I can hide.
How much longer till it passes,
Will it ever go away.
No longer can I hold on,
To someone who doesn’t want to stay.
I know you don’t care,
Or feel the same.
Two different people we are,
And that will never change.
