TV Show Review – Last Man on Earth – 4.3/5

It has been a while since I’ve done a TV Show review! Mostly I’m watching my usuals, Survivor and Big Brother, etc., but this show really caught my attention and I don’t think it’s as well-known as it deserves to be, so I wanted to share it with you!

The premise: In 2022, a cataclysm strikes Earth, seemingly wiping out the population, except for former family man and bank employee Phil Miller. Sad and very lonely, Phil travels the United States, Canada and Mexico in his RV searching for other survivors. Striving to hold onto hope that there is at least one other living person, he tries to make the best of circumstances until his path finally crosses with that hoped-for other survivor — and all becomes more comforting that the person happens to be a woman. As more survivors turn up, complications arise and Phil finds it difficult to co-exist with others again.

Will Forte stars as the main character, Phil Miller, and has a wonderful comedic delivery that he brings to the character and series. The rest of the cast are wonderful too! This show is the epitome of the end-of-the-world concept, where everyone is being taken out by a virus, so the rest of the world remains intact to act as a playground for the few survivors. They also find themselves in plenty of predicaments.

The show has a 4 star rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 95% liking on Google. Unfortunately, it has not been scheduled to return for a 5th season, although I do believe its popularity is gaining since it has been airing on Netflix. I seriously love this show, and I know you will too! I would rate this show a 4.3 out of 5! Make sure you check it out!

TV Review – Survivor Cambodia Second Chance

If your a true survivor fan, then your loving this season of Survivor!! Who doesn’t love redemption seasons!! They are soooooo good. I also can’t believe this is season 31 of this show. That really says a lot about it! I am loving the drama this season. I love how Ancor won that last reward challenge, when they REALLY needed it. Moments like that emotionally charge the show. I really hope Spencer can pull off a win, but seems like he’s already running into difficulties. Woo and Joe are so solid in challenges, they will be gone ASAP. I’m cheering for Tasha also! She is such a solid chick. Abi Maria? Well, we know why they are keeping her around! (Always need a bigger target around then yourself! And who would vote for her to win… I won’t be suprised if she makes final 3). Jeremy is solid, but also a threat. Who knows, maybe Keith can pull out a win! Lol! I like how they are currently divided into 3 tribes. I also loved the he-man reward challenge. It was so exciting!! Who knows which way this season will go! I can’t wait to watch and find out! I would rate this show a 7.8 out of 10.

TV Review – Suits

I  will start off saying how much I am enjoying this show, and how hooked I am. We have been marathoning the new season on Netflix non-stop. Lawyer dramas wouldn’t seem to be something of interest to me, but once you start watching, you can’t stop! The characters are well portrayed, and the drama doesn’t end! I quite enjoy the dialogue, it’s not obviously scripted and is well written. The acting is on point to bring the story to life. It is smart and articulated. Harvey Specter is a lawyer unlike any other! He really makes the show for me, I’d say. His assistant Donna is also a favourite of mine too! If your looking for a show to watch with your significant other, this show is perfect. Something both guys and girls can enjoy and appreciate. I would give this show an 8.5 out of 10. Well worth the watch!

TV Review – The Bachelorette 2015

Oh Kaitlyn… You have so many great guys there and you have to bring back a guy into your season like Nick! It seems unfair that she had chemistry with Nick prior to the show, and then brings him on. Maybe she shouldn’t have accepted to be the new bachelorette and just dated Nick! Needless to say, I’ll be disappointed if he isn’t out of there soon… And I’ll be REALLY disappointed if she ends up with him. We all know where that will get her.. Like where Andi got with Josh, ending up in tears broken hearted and let down! (Andi was attracted to the assholes!) I am just praying Shawn gets the chance he deserves, their chemistry is unreal! She has so many wonderful guys there, it seems like they tossed Nick in just for the extra TV drama. I’m hoping so, and hoping she doesn’t end up broken hearted! Kaitlyn is a sweetie and I’m wishing her all the best and wishing her so much love!! Tune in Monday evenings to check it out! I would rate this show a 6.8 out of 10. If your a sucker for love and romance, and a little drama, this show is for you!

This blog is just my personal opinion. Thanks for viewing!

TV Review – Survivor Blood vs Water San Juan Del Sur

IMG_1367.JPG

I gotta say, when this season started, I wasn’t into it as much as I usually am. So many things going on, just diluted the game for me. As the season went on, I got more and more into it, and as it comes to a close, I just can’t wait to find out who will win. I am so incredibly happy to see the women banding together and using those men to further their game. Those are some smart women, and to see Missy and Baylor, a mother and daughter, still in the game together nearing the end is a true feat. Missy really had a good hand in this game, but I really love Natalie the most. She is so smart and such a good player, with a good heart to boot. I really hope she pulls the win. Keith’s odds aren’t looking too great, but he is a really great guy too, who has done well and worked his butt off in challenges. Can’t wait for the finale Wednesday, Dec 17th. I would rate this season a 7 out of 10. Always a fun watch!! This blog is just my opinion!

TV Review – The Bachelor Canada

IMG_1257.JPG

Well, isn’t Tim just so dreamy? Lol. Not really my type I wouldn’t say, but a great guy all around. I like how he is decisive, and being very true to himself and what he wants. I also like all the remaining girls he has left. They are all smart, vibrant and driven females. Lisa is interesting, and although I like her, I am not sure she is the one for Tim. I also had a good laugh on the first episode when they were all meeting each other, I love recognizing how Canadian we are! Should be a fun romantic ride however it plays out! Wishing Tim all the best on his journey to finding the love of his life!! If you haven’t been watching, you can catch up online at bachelorcanada.ca! I would rate this show a 6.6 out of 10. Just my opinion!

TV Review – Teen Mom 2

IMG_1188.JPG

I am so attached to the Teen Mom 2 girls, Jenelle, Chelsea, Kailyn & Leah. A lot of people hate on these girls. I guess I have always been able to easily relate to people, and being a mom myself (not a teen mom, but close enough), and going through a lot of challenges in my own personal life, I find myself closely relating to all these girls in different ways. Co-parenting is such a struggle, that is another reason I like to watch the show. It is a good reminder why I feel it is so important to make it work as a family, even when times are rocky, and even when people still have a lot of learning to do and mistakes to make. People hate on this show, but I like the harsh realities, it IS real life, and I feel people don’t like it because sometimes real life isn’t pretty. Life ain’t easy. People want to believe in their own minds that they are so perfect, that they would never be a certain way or do this or that, yet we all have a ton of issues we deal with on the regular, even the best of people. We ALL make mistakes and bad judgements. Hormones, emotional issues, enviromental stressors, financial and life challenges, relational challenges, it just never ends, and this show really highlights how hard being a teen mom really is. I know it has reduced teen pregnancy rates, and that is a huge accomplishment. I think Chelsea is a really great mom and person, she deserves a good man and husband in her life, and I wish her all the best. Kailyn and Javi are adorable, just like their kids. Seems like Jo misses what he could’ve had as a family with her, but I like Vee and they are a good couple, as are Kail and Javi. Jenelle and Nathan’s relationship seems pretty tumultuous at times, but I am a firm believer that things can always change for the better, and time matures us and allows us to grow. It’s important to remember that things aren’t always going to be rainbows and even when things get ugly, we have to swallow our pride and do our best to make things right. That is something I always learn from Nathan and Jenelle. I also wish them the best in the future. I feel especially bad for Leah and what she is going through with Corey right now. How dare he call her out about therapy when he never takes Ali, and he has no idea the demands she is under being a mom of 3 with a young child. I always thought Corey was a good guy, and I liked how they could be friends, but he really does seem to throw Leah under the bus. Corey’s girlfriend Miranda seems more understanding than Corey is, and I think she needs to encourage him more to be understanding and helpful. I am glad Leah is standing up for what she needs and deserves. Looks like by the preview of next weeks episode, Corey is going to take a stand for what he thinks he deserves too. We will have to stay tuned and see how the court proceedings turn out! Why wouldn’t they favor Leah though, it’s only right they be with their mom, and she never did anything to deserve to not have full custody of her children. I like Jeremy, although in the last few episodes he seems quite abrasive. I can only imagine the pressures of having your life broadcasted amongst the regular pressures they face. Having a child with special needs, I can relate to the pressures Leah is under. The worries, concerns, appointments, and attention, it can take a lot out of a person. Other than Jeremy being a little snappy and having a lack of understanding, I still think he is a supportive and loving husband who has proved he always has Leah’s back, and that’s so important. I think Jeremy and Leah are a perfect couple, and I wish them the best in their future, and I wish the best for their adorable kids. In closing, I really love this show, and I can’t wait each week to see what is going on with each of the girls! They should be referred to as women now I suppose! They are a source of inspiration and learning for me, and I can only imagine for many other women and girls around the world. Keep it up ladies!!! Your doing a good job no matter what anyone says!! Teen Mom 2 airs on MTV on Wednesdays nights, don’t miss it! And if you do, catch up online! I would rate this show a 7.3 out of 10. This blog is just my opinion!
